5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Sites use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, analyze site traffic (Google Analytics, GTM), serve relevant advertising (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads), and track marketing campaign effectiveness.

Types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary - required for basic site operation (checkout, login)
  • Analytics - measure how visitors use our Sites
  • Advertising - serve relevant ads and measure ad performance
  • Functional - remember preferences and personalize content

How to control cookies: Manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. Our Sites do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by state law.

5.1 Tracking Across Our Two Websites

We operate two websites that handle advertising cookies differently:

  • authoritydrift.com (this site) - our brand and information site. Advertising and analytics cookies, including the Meta Pixel, load only after you accept them in our cookie banner. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically: if your browser sends a GPC signal, these cookies are not loaded and no banner is shown.
  • authoritydriftbook.com - our checkout funnel, where you purchase our books and programs. As a transactional checkout, it uses advertising and analytics cookies (including the Meta Pixel) and server-side conversion measurement (the Meta Conversions API) to process and measure your purchase.

You can opt out of advertising-related tracking on either site at any time by (a) enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, (b) selecting "Reject" in our cookie banner, or (c) emailing team@authoritydriftbook.com with "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" in the subject line. We apply opt-out requests across both sites.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access - request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct - request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete - request deletion of your personal information
  • Port - request your information in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Opt out of marketing - unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
  • Withdraw consent - where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email team@authoritydriftbook.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA: the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination.

To opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, email team@authoritydriftbook.com with "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" in the subject line. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We "share" identifiers and internet activity with advertising platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn) for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cross-border transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

You will receive one final confirmation message after you opt out. After that, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that program. To opt out of all SMS programs, reply STOP ALL or email team@authoritydriftbook.com with "STOP SMS" in the subject line.
